Le Bedroom~finishing touches

My bedroom has never been quite complete.  It's one of those rooms in the house that doesn't get seen by other people often, so it was easy to let it fall by the way side while I worked on more public rooms in my house.  I started off strong, and then just kind of fizzled (how common is this, can I get an amen?)  That is about to change.  I'm feeling restless about the state of said room.  Poor thing.  For years it has been just the basics.  Don't get me wrong, I love the basics.  Creams and whites and grays and purples.....so serene and classy, but never quite finished.  It needs some life and POP in the room.  For a while I've been pinning bedrooms I like that have a bright pop in them somewhere and here are a few.
Love the bold floral on the pillows!  Designers Guild Orangerie is so beautiful!

I absolutely love the color palette Katie Rosenfeld used for this bedroom! The lilac, celadon, gold and orange is perfection.

The artwork over the nightstand is spectacular.  Just a framed piece of fabric--what a great idea!

Like I said, my color palette right now is grayish purple, white and cream.  I've been looking for a fabric to bring in a bright punch of color, and then yesterday I spotted this beauty at Joann's!

It has this watercolor-like aesthetic to it, like it's been painted on a piece of silk.  SO LOVELY.  I think it might be just the thing to add to the room.  The question is, should it just be shams, or a duvet?  Thoughts?
